​We rehearse every Sunday evening in central Manchester. There are several times a year where we welcome new members, usually at the start of a new project or preparing for our next major event. We are currently operating at capacity and operating a waiting list. The expected wait length is around 9 months. Do I need to be an amazing singer?

Absolutely not!

​

Being really good at what we do, singing, is important to everyone in The Sunday Boys. That doesn't mean you have to have had lots of musical experience, or even done any singing before. So long as you want to give it a go and are prepared to learn then it sounds like you have what it takes to join us. We offer vocal coaching and singing lessons for all who want to take part.

 

We describe ourselves as an LGBTQ+ low voiced choir - while many of our members would identify as gay, we want low voices of any sexual orientation or gender identity to come and join us and we welcome anyone who sings low voice (tenor / baritone / bass). We are laid back and work to ensure our rehearsals are both relaxed and that we all see an improvement in what we do each week.

 

Our rehearsals are challenging, but that doesn't mean you have to read music. If you are prepared to work hard and learn you will find over a few months you will gain the benefits from being involved and committed. We’ll fully support you in your journey. 

 

Lots of us like to socialise after rehearsals and we want all our members to feel like a part of The Sunday Boys family.

How much does it cost? 

 

We offer your first rehearsal for free, so you can check if The Sunday Boys is the right choir for you. After that we charge a small fee for each rehearsal:

 

Monthly direct debit: £24

Monthly direct debit (concession): £16

Pay per rehearsal: £8
